Commercial Litigator - Media & Information / Reputation & Crisis Management

Associate Level | Full-Time | UK Offices (London, Reading, Bristol)

Our client is seeking a strong Commercial Litigator with experience in media and information law to join a growing Commercial Disputes practice. This role offers a genuinely mixed caseload, early responsibility, and exposure to high‑profile, fast‑moving matters.

What You'll Bring
Candidates should be qualified in England & Wales with solid High Court litigation experience, including case management, disclosure, evidence preparation, hearings and ADR. You will have experience across media and information disputes-such as defamation, misuse of private information, breach of confidence, data protection claims or reputation management. Experience with urgent applications, interim relief, online content issues, or cyber incident response is desirable. Strong analytical skills, commercial judgement and the ability to work under pressure are essential.

What the Role Involves
You will advise UK and international clients on complex commercial disputes and a wide variety of reputational issues. Work will include handling pre‑publication media concerns, managing crisis situations, advising on online reputation challenges, acting for publishers and broadcasters on information law matters, and assisting data controllers with contentious data protection issues. You will work closely with Partners and senior lawyers, gaining significant client contact from an early stage.

Who This Suits
This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys fast‑paced, high‑profile work and wants to maintain a broad practice spanning both media/information law and general commercial litigation. You'll join a collaborative, ambitious team known for acting for both claimants and defendants across the full spectrum of reputation‑related matters.

The Practice & Locations
The team forms part of a well‑regarded Commercial Disputes group advising major corporates, high‑growth businesses and high‑net‑worth individuals on complex, often business‑critical matters. This is a permanent, full‑time role open to candidates based in London, Reading or Bristol.
