A global organization operating in the online vehicle remarketing space, connecting buyers and sellers across a broad international footprint, is seeking to add a Litigation Paralegal to their team. The company leverages proprietary technology to deliver efficient, scalable auction solutions and supports a diverse client base that includes insurers, financial institutions, dealerships, and individual sellers.

Overview of the Role
The Litigation Paralegal is a full‑time role responsible for managing subpoenas, pre‑litigation matters, and discovery requests. This position works closely with in‑house and external counsel, coordinates with internal business teams, and maintains accurate legal records. The role also serves as a key point of contact between the Legal Department and corporate stakeholders to ensure timely, compliant legal responses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the Legal Correspondence and Legal Holds inboxes, ensuring timely receipt and review of subpoenas, preservation notices, and other legal communications.
  • Conduct prompt and thorough investigations to identify documents, data, and witnesses responsive to subpoena requests.
  • Evaluate preservation notices by analyzing vehicle status, the requesting party's involvement, and any initial steps or information required.
  • Implement legal holds on vehicles when preservation criteria are met and communicate relevant vehicle and seller details to requestors.
  • Accurately log, monitor, and maintain all subpoena‑related activity within the Navex Ethics Point system to ensure regulatory and procedural compliance.
  • Collect, organize, and produce responsive records in bates‑stamped PDF format; draft and finalize subpoena responses; issue invoices for applicable fees; and execute business records affidavits when necessary.
  • Maintain complete and organized records by uploading all subpoena and legal‑hold materials to NetDocuments.
  • Release legal holds on vehicles when no longer required.
  • Work cross‑functionally with corporate departments, representing the Legal Department in a professional manner aligned with company values.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional related experience of 3-5 years
  • Paralegal certification from an accredited program
  • Expertise with document management systems and matter management systems such as Navex EthicsPoint, NetDocuments and/or Legal Tracker
  • Proficiency in reviewing and responding to subpoenas and written discovery requests
  • Experience with preparing and filing court documents accurately
