A national labor and employment law firm is seeking experienced employment attorneys (7+ years) to join its virtual office as Special Counsel. This role offers the opportunity to handle complex employment matters while enjoying increased flexibility in a largely remote work environment.

About the Role

This position primarily focuses on managing the full life cycle of employment-related matters for a diverse client base, including organizations with Employment Practices Liability Insurance (EPLI). Key responsibilities include:

  • Handling administrative agency charges and attorney demand letters
  • Managing and litigating single-plaintiff employment cases, with periodic involvement in class actions, representative actions, and other employment law matters
  • Developing case strategies and overseeing matter progression
  • Drafting and reviewing substantive legal work product
  • Conducting depositions and representing clients in hearings, conferences, and trials
  • Supervising and mentoring junior team members
  • Collaborating with partners and attorneys supported by a dedicated paralegal team and shared administrative resources

Some local travel may be required.

Required Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in employment law and employment litigation
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Active bar membership in good standing
