In-House Counsel - Retail
A beloved Retail Store is looking to hire an In-House Counsel who focuses on Risk Management and General Liability. For the past 25+ years, this company has been on Fortune's 100 Best Places to Work For list and has a hard-working, yet fun environment. They are looking for a dynamic attorney to join their liability department.
This role is located outside of Tampa, FL and is hybrid with 3-days a week onsite.
Responsibilities
- Handle all issues of general liability, personal injury, premises liability, and tort claims resolutions
- Create and implement strategics to minimize risk and costs for company
- Strategically advise across different business functions
- Draft, review, and negotiate needed agreements for the company
- Ensure regulatory compliance and mitigate risks for company
- Work to cut legal costs
Requirements
- JD from accredited law school
- 5+ years of litigation experience
- Handling tort, personal injury, and premises liability defense litigation
- Financial experience
- Insurance defense litigation experience and risk management expertise
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team and in a larger corporate setting
- 3 days a week on-site outside of Tampa, FL
