Healthcare Attorney
About the Role
I am working with a healthcare organization looking to bring on an Attorney to join our legal team. This role will focus on advising healthcare organizations on regulatory compliance and handling complex transactional matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of federal and state healthcare laws and proven experience in structuring and negotiating healthcare transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal counsel on healthcare regulatory issues, including:
- Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, HIPAA/HITECH, Medicare/Medicaid compliance, and fraud and abuse laws.
- Draft, review, and negotiate healthcare-related agreements, such as:
- Professional services agreements, joint ventures, employment contracts, affiliation agreements, and vendor contracts.
- Support transactional matters, including:
- Practice acquisitions, mergers, and strategic partnerships.
- Conduct regulatory due diligence for healthcare transactions.
- Advise clients on policy development, risk assessments, and compliance strategies.
- Stay current on healthcare regulatory changes and communicate updates to clients.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
Qualifications
- J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
- 5+ years of healthcare law experience, with emphasis on regulatory compliance and transactional work.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state healthcare regulatory schemes.
