General Liability Associate Attorney

Location: New York, White Plains, Long Island

Compensation: $160,000 - $200,000

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated General Liability Associate Attorney to join our litigation team. This role offers a flexible, hybrid work arrangement and is available in our New York City, Long Island, or White Plains office.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have 3-8 years of litigation experience and a strong background in general liability, personal injury, premises liability, and insurance defense. You will handle complex, high‑exposure matters alongside seasoned litigators in a collaborative, high‑performing team environment.

General Liability Associate Key Responsibilities

  • Independently manage a litigation caseload from inception through resolution
  • Work closely with senior attorneys and partners on complex legal matters
  • Handle court appearances, depositions, and motion practice
  • Communicate with clients and provide regular case updates
  • Contribute to a collaborative, team‑oriented legal environment

General Liability Associate Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Admission to practice in New York
  • 3-8 years of relevant litigation experience
  • Background in general liability, premises liability, personal injury, and insurance defense
  • Preferred experience in trucking litigation, construction/labor law, and transportation matters
  • Familiarity with NY Labor Law §§ 200, 240, 241 and OSHA‑related proceedings is a plus
  • Ability to excel in a fast‑paced, team‑focused environment
  • Legal project management experience is a plus
