Fund Accounting Specialist - Chinese Asset Manager
Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Fund Accounting Specialist to join our team at a prestigious tier-1 Chinese asset management firm in Hong Kong. The ideal candidate will have over 3 years of experience in fund accounting and will play a crucial role in managing the financial operations of our diverse portfolio of funds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily fund accounting operations, including valuation, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and reports for various funds.
- Manage the annual audit process and coordinate with external auditors.
- Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Liaise with fund administrators, custodians, and other service providers to ensure smooth operations.
- Implement and enhance accounting systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Provide support for ad hoc projects and tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in fund accounting within an asset management company.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices related to fund management.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Strong command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese).
