Position Overview
The firm is seeking a Charges Attorney to join its fully remote practice. This position can be based anywhere in the United States and will focus on defending employers in administrative agency proceedings and pre-litigation employment disputes.
This opportunity is well-suited for experienced employment attorneys who enjoy sophisticated substantive work but are seeking greater flexibility than a traditional law firm model. The role offers reduced billable expectations, no client development obligations, and no required travel while providing access to the resources of a leading global employment law platform.
Responsibilities
- Manage administrative agency charges from intake through final resolution
- Prepare and submit position statements and responses to agency inquiries
- Represent employers during settlement discussions and virtual mediations
- Handle attorney demand letters and other pre-suit employment matters
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and government agencies
- Provide strategic analysis and recommendations regarding employment-related claims and risk exposure
- Maintain an active caseload while meeting client expectations and internal deadlines
- Collaborate with attorneys and legal teams on complex employment matters as needed
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active bar license in the state of residence
- Minimum of 6 years of employment law experience
- Demonstrated experience handling federal and/or state administrative charges
- Experience drafting position statements and representing clients in mediations, conciliations, or similar proceedings
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and case management abilities
- Ability to work independently and effectively within a fully remote environment
