A leading energy infrastructure company is seeking a Attorney to support its Information Technology team and broader business operations. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who enjoys partnering with internal stakeholders, negotiating sophisticated technology agreements, and providing practical legal guidance in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.

The Opportunity

In this role, you will serve as a trusted legal advisor on a variety of technology and software-related matters, supporting enterprise-wide initiatives and helping the business navigate complex commercial transactions. You'll work closely with IT, procurement, compliance, cybersecurity, and business teams to manage risk while facilitating strategic technology investments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of technology, software, SaaS, licensing, and IT services agreements
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to structure commercial arrangements and mitigate legal risk
  • Advise on technology procurement and vendor management matters
  • Ensure agreements comply with applicable laws, company policies, and internal procedures
  • Maintain and manage contract records within contract lifecycle management systems
  • Provide practical legal guidance on technology-related issues affecting business operations
  • Support cross-functional teams on contractual, compliance, and operational initiatives

Ideal Background

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Licensed and in good standing to practice law in a U.S. jurisdiction
  • 3+ years of legal experience, ideally within an in-house legal department with significant commercial contracting exposure
  • Strong experience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating software, technology, SaaS, cloud services, and other IT-related agreements
  • Ability to translate complex technical and business concepts into clear, practical contractual provisions
  • Experience with privacy, cybersecurity, intellectual property, licensing, data protection, or compliance matters is a plus
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
