A highly respected organization operating across multiple sectors is seeking a Corporate Counsel to lead and evolve its legal and risk management functions. This is a rare opportunity to shape legal infrastructure from the ground up, working directly with executive leadership to build scalable systems that support growth, compliance, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead legal operations, contract lifecycle management, and compliance across all entities
- Advise on labor strategy, insurance claims, and regulatory matters
- Manage litigation and coordinate with external counsel
- Partner with HR on employment matters, investigations, and documentation
- Support entity formation and governance
- Collaborate with Safety and Project teams to identify and mitigate jobsite risks
- Build and lead the legal department, including hiring and mentoring
- Develop KPIs and reporting systems to track legal performance and efficiency
Qualifications
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school; active bar membership
- 4+ years of legal experience, ideally with exposure to construction or engineering
- Proven ability to build legal workflows and manage operations
- Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
- Proficiency with legal tech and contract management platforms
- Familiarity with employment law, insurance claims, and regulatory compliance
- Conversational Spanish or other language skills a plus
