As the organization expands, they seek a skilled and detail-oriented attorney join their dynamic legal department as their Corporate Counsel and contribute to transformative projects shaping the future of energy. In this role, you will be responsibility for supporting a variety of legal matters related development, construction, and operations for their growing pipeline of projects.
Responsibilities:
- Working closely with commercial teams comprised of feasibility, development, finance, engineering and other disciplines to manage the development of renewable energy power generation projects from early-stage activities to commercial operations.
- Serve as both legal advisor and business partner to the project development team, providing highly commercial and creative solutions on business matters and project development
- Draft and negotiate key contracts related to project development, including Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contracts, Power Purchase (PPAs) agreements and site control agreements.
- Provide legal guidance and support to various departments, including Operations, Finance, and Business Development.
- Provide legal support for M&A activities, including due diligence, negotiation, and execution of acquisition agreements.
- Advise on legal risks and opportunities associated with potential acquisitions and partnerships.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and admission to the bar in any state
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of legal experience within the renewable energy power, or an adjacent industry.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
