Position Overview
Our Client is seeking a Contract Specialist to join their in-office team in Duncan, South Carolina. This role will support the legal and project management teams by managing and administering construction contracts, ensuring compliance, and facilitating smooth execution of project agreements.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, draft, and manage construction agreements, subcontracts, purchase orders, and change orders.
- Support contract negotiations and ensure alignment with company policies and project requirements.
- Maintain organized contract records and track key milestones, deliverables, and obligations.
- Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and legal counsel to resolve contract-related issues.
- Assist in risk assessment and mitigation strategies related to contract terms.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal procedures.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in contract administration or legal support within the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of construction agreements, terminology, and project workflows.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and contract management systems.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, on-site environment.
Preferred
- Experience with industrial or heavy civil construction projects.
- Familiarity with lien laws, insurance requirements, and regulatory compliance.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, or related field.
