Compliance Manager - Global Quantitative Trading Firm

We are seeking a Compliance professional to join the APAC Compliance team of a global quantitative trading firm.

This role will play a central part in overseeing and enhancing the regional Compliance programme, with a focus on governance, performance oversight, and driving global and cross-regional initiatives. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Compliance teams across APAC and partner with global counterparts to ensure alignment with group-wide standards.

This is not a traditional advisory compliance position. Instead, it is a regional coordination and execution-focused role, suited to an individual who is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating across multiple stakeholders and seniority levels within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Compliance Programme Oversight & Reporting

  • Oversee Compliance-related KPIs and KRIs across APAC, ensuring consistency and meaningful measurement
  • Enhance reporting frameworks and governance processes where appropriate
  • Provide regular insights and analysis to senior stakeholders
  • Support the execution and oversight of core Compliance programmes across the region

APAC & Global Compliance Initiative Delivery

  • Drive and coordinate APAC-wide Compliance initiatives, ensuring timely and effective execution
  • Partner with global Compliance teams to implement group-wide programmes regionally
  • Act as a central coordination point for cross-office initiatives and best practice sharing

Strategic Support

  • Support regional leadership on key strategic priorities, including planning and governance enhancements
  • Prepare materials for senior management, governance forums, and leadership updates
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the APAC Compliance strategy

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build strong relationships with Compliance teams across the region and global counterparts
  • Engage with business stakeholders across front office, technology, and operations
  • Act as a key connector between local, regional, and global Compliance functions

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Around 5+ years of experience within financial markets, ideally in Big 4, Bulge Braket, or Quantitative Trading firm
  • Prior Compliance experience is strongly preferred but not required
  • Familiarity with Compliance frameworks, controls, and regulatory expectations is advantageous
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive, self-starting approach
  • Detail-oriented with strong execution discipline and ability to deliver high-quality work under tight timelines
  • Strong multitasking and prioritisation skills
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively across different seniority levels
  • Clear and concise communication skills, with the ability to translate complex topics into actionable insights
  • Collaborative and globally minded, comfortable working across regions and functions
  • Experience with workflow efficiency and data analysis tools is advantageous
