Position Summary
The Compliance Director will lead the Compliance function and serve as the primary liaison with the Missouri Department of Insurance (DOI), along with other state regulators as needed. This individual will oversee all Life insurance product forms, rate filings, and regulatory submissions to ensure full compliance across all jurisdictions. This position is fully on-site.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Compliance Department for all Life insurance products.
- Oversee all form filings, rate filings, SERFF submissions, and regulatory interactions.
- Act as the company's primary point of contact with the Missouri DOI and other state DOIs.
- Monitor regulatory changes affecting Life insurance and implement necessary updates.
- Collaborate closely with Product Development, Legal, Actuarial, Underwriting, and Operations teams.
- Maintain documentation for audits, regulatory reviews, and internal controls.
- Develop and deliver internal compliance training.
- Continuously improve compliance processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; compliance or insurance certifications (e.g., FLMI, AIRC) a plus.
- 3+ years of experience in Life insurance complianceor related regulatory roles.
- Strong understanding of Life insurance regulations, SERFF, and DOI communication.
- Experience working with state insurance regulators preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Leadership experience or demonstrated leadership potential.
