Attorney - Property & Casualty

Property & Casualty Attorney (In-House)

We're working with a client in the insurance space that's adding a P&C Attorney to their legal team.

This is a solid opportunity for someone who wants to focus on business-side legal work, contracts, regulatory, and day-to-day advising.

What you'd be doing:

  • Reviewing and negotiating contracts across the business
  • Advising on homeowners and auto (P&C) insurance matters
  • Handling regulatory/compliance work, including DOI responses
  • Working closely with leadership, including the head of the P&C business
  • Acting as a go-to legal resource for internal teams
  • Overseeing outside/contract attorneys when needed

What they're looking for:

  • J.D. + active bar license (any U.S. jurisdiction)
  • Around 2-6+ years of experience
  • Background in insurance - ideally in-house with a carrier
  • Experience with P&C / personal lines (homeowners, auto)
  • Strong mix of contracts + regulatory/compliance work

Important: This is not a litigation role - they're specifically looking for someone who's focused on advisory/transactional work.
