A nationally respected management-side labor and employment practice is seeking a mid-level associate to join its Los Angeles team. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced practitioners on high-profile employment litigation matters for sophisticated employers across a variety of industries.
The practice is known for handling complex and impactful workplace disputes, providing associates with meaningful client contact, substantive litigation responsibility, and strong mentorship opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Manage employment litigation matters from inception through resolution.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation-related documents.
- Conduct legal research and analysis.
- Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and other case proceedings.
- Collaborate closely with partners and senior attorneys on strategic case management.
- Provide practical legal advice and solutions to employer clients.
Qualifications
- 4-7 years of labor and employment litigation experience.
- Experience handling some combination of:
- Single-plaintiff employment matters
- Discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims
- Wrongful termination litigation
- Wage and hour disputes
- Class, collective, or representative actions
- Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage matters independently while working effectively within a team environment.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and sound professional judgment.
- Active California Bar admission required.

Compensation
Expected base compensation ranges from the high-$200,000s to mid-$300,000s, depending on experience, qualifications, and overall fit. Additional bonus opportunities and benefits are also available.
