Associate General Counsel - Professional Services Firm
Fully Remote Oppurtunity (Will operate on West Coast Timezone)
The Assistant General Counsel will work closely with the General Counsel in supporting the firm's broad legal needs across a national professional services platform. This is a highly visible, generalist in-house role offering exposure to a wide range of legal matters, including commercial contracts, litigation and dispute management, regulatory compliance, and internal advisory work. The position is ideal for a mid-level attorney looking to step into a dynamic, business-facing environment with opportunities to take ownership of key legal processes and partner with stakeholders across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on client-related issues, including disputes, claims, and regulatory compliance
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including engagement letters, MSAs, NDAs, SaaS agreements, subcontractor agreements, and RFP responses
- Manage subpoena responses and assist with litigation-related matters, including coordination with outside counsel
- Support intellectual property matters, including protection strategy and coordination with external counsel
- Assist with employment-related legal issues and internal investigations
- 5+ years of relevant legal experience (law firm and/or in-house)
- Prior experience within a professional services organization
- Strong experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements
- Experience handling or supporting litigation, disputes, or subpoena compliance
- Ability to advise on multiple legal areas, including contracts, compliance, employment, and risk
- Professional liability defense experience is a plus
