Larson Maddox has been instructed to recruit Associates and Counsel for the Finance practice of a leading international law firm.
This opportunity offers the chance to join a market-leading finance team advising banks, financial institutions, private credit funds, debt funds, sponsors and corporate borrowers on some of the most sophisticated financing transactions in Germany and across Europe.
The team is recognised for its strength across leveraged finance, acquisition finance, private credit, direct lending and corporate lending mandates, working on both domestic and cross-border transactions.
The Role
You will advise lenders, borrowers, sponsors and investors on a broad range of financing matters, including:
- Leveraged finance transactions
- Acquisition finance
- Private credit and direct lending transactions
- Corporate lending and syndicated lending
- Sponsor-backed financings
- Refinancing and recapitalisation transactions
- Unitranche and complex debt structures
- Debt financing for domestic and cross-border acquisitions
- Fund finance and subscription facilities
- Restructuring and amendment exercises
- Security packages and intercreditor arrangements
- Drafting and negotiating finance documentation
- Coordinating multi-jurisdictional transactions alongside international teams
Associates will receive significant responsibility and client exposure, while Counsel candidates will have the opportunity to take on a leading role in transaction management, client relationships, business development and team supervision.

Candidate Profile
We are looking to speak with lawyers who have:
- 2-7 years' PQE (Associate or Counsel level)
- Experience in Banking & Finance gained at a leading international or top-tier German law firm
- Exposure to leveraged finance, acquisition finance, private credit or general lending transactions
- Strong academic credentials
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
- Commercial awareness and a practical approach to client work
- Fluency in German and English
- The ability to manage complex transactions and work effectively within international teams
