Associate Attorney
About the Role
A respected California civil litigation firm is seeking a Law & Motion Associate Attorney to join its growing team. This hybrid position offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated litigation matters, focusing on legal research, writing, motion practice, and case strategy across a variety of civil defense matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft and argue dispositive motions, discovery motions, and other substantive pleadings
- Conduct legal research and prepare briefs, memoranda, and case evaluations
- Analyze complex legal issues and develop litigation strategy
- Collaborate with attorneys throughout all phases of litigation
- Support trial preparation and appellate matters as needed
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active California Bar membership in good standing
- 3+ years of civil litigation and/or law & motion experience
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Knowledge of California state court procedures
- Experience drafting dispositive and complex motions preferred
