About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Assistant General Counsel to join a rapidly growing organization in the renewable energy sector. Key Responsibilities
As Assistant General Counsel, you will report to the General Counsel and provide legal support across the business. Responsibilities include:
- Drafting and negotiating Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contracts
- Supporting business development and acquisitions of community solar projects
- Managing equipment procurement agreements and O&M contracts
- Handling community solar subscription agreements and interconnection agreements
- Advising on general corporate and energy regulatory matters
- Assisting with dispute resolution and litigation management in coordination with external counsel
Qualifications
We are looking for a highly motivated legal professional with:
- JD degree and admission in good standing with a state bar
- 8-10 years of transactional legal experience, ideally covering the responsibilities listed above
- Experience in the energy industry (renewable energy preferred)
- Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Word, Adobe, and PowerPoint
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
