Assistant General Counsel - Global FinTech
A fast-growing, international FinTech is looking to expand their legal team by adding an Assistant General Counsel. This company works with some of the most successful financial firms, providing a SaaS product that ensures regulatory compliance. The team is experiencing great growth - over 275% revenue growth in the past 3 years. The Chief Legal Officer is looking to add a second legal hire; this is a great opportunity to get in with a growing team early and partner directly with the CLO.
This role is a hybrid position based out of NYC or Arlington, VA
Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements including:
- SaaS
- Software licensing
- NDAs
- Vendor
- Partnership
- Work cross functionally with different business units in a collaborative and advisory manner
- Support legal operations as company is rapidly growing
- Work directly with Chief Legal Officer
- Handle ad hoc legal matters that arise, i.e. M&A, corporate governance, data privacy, IP, and more
Requirements:
- JD from accredited law school
- 2+ years of in-house experience at a technology company
- Outbound/vendor side SaaS negotiating experience is a must
- Ability to handle high volume of commercial contracts
- Strength working cross functionally and partnering with different business units
- 3 days a week in NYC of Arlington, VA office
