Overview
Our Clients are seeking experienced Real Estate Finance Associates (3-6 PQE) to join their highly regarded London finance teams. These practices advise major banks, alternative lenders, private equity sponsors, developers, and institutional investors on some of the most high‑profile and complex real estate financing transactions in the UK and Europe.
The roles offer exposure to sophisticated, market‑leading mandates, including investment and development financing, portfolio acquisitions, structured real estate deals, and cross‑border finance transactions. You will work in teams known for technical excellence, commercial approach, and close collaboration across banking, real estate, tax, and corporate practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise lenders and borrowers on a broad range of real estate finance transactions, including senior, mezzanine, and whole‑loan structures.
- Act on investment financing for office, logistics, retail, PRS/BTR, student accommodation, and hospitality assets.
- Support development financing for large‑scale commercial and residential projects.
- Assist with cross‑border transactions involving international funds and global financial institutions.
- Draft and negotiate facility agreements, intercreditor agreements, security packages, and ancillary documents.
- Work closely with real estate, tax, corporate, and restructuring teams to deliver a seamless client service.
- Help manage transactions end‑to‑end, including oversight of CP checklists, due diligence, and closing processes.
- Contribute to client pitches, knowledge initiatives, and business development as required.
Candidate Requirements
- 3-6 years' PQE in real estate finance.
- UK Qualified and Experienced
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills with strong technical understanding of real estate finance structures.
- Experience acting for both lenders (banks, debt funds) and borrowers (sponsors, developers, investors) preferred.
- Familiarity with LMA‑based documentation and intercreditor arrangements.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage complex, time‑sensitive transactions.
