VP/Counsel, Government Compliance
The Government Compliance Counsel leads the organization's compliance framework and ensures adherence to all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and government contract requirements. This role provides strategic guidance and serves as a key advisor to senior leadership on regulatory and government‑related matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee a comprehensive government compliance program, including policies, training, and monitoring.
- Track regulatory changes and assess business impact; recommend and implement updates.
- Provide strategic compliance guidance to executive leadership.
- Partner with Legal, Operations, Internal Audit, Finance, HR, and external advisors to ensure coordinated compliance efforts.
- Ensure compliance with laws related to government contracting, ethics, trade, environmental, labor, and reporting.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for regulators, auditors, and government agencies.
Basic Qualifications
- 8-10 years of experience in government compliance, regulatory affairs, legal, or risk management.
- Juris Doctor (JD).
- Experience working with federal and state regulators.
- Licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (or eligible for in‑house counsel status).

- Strong decision‑making and multitasking skills; able to meet deadlines.
