The Opportunity
Our client is seeking a Vice President of Human Resources to serve as a senior executive leader and strategic operator. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role owns the operational and administrative backbone of the organization, overseeing Human Resources, Recruiting & Talent Acquisition, Office Operations, and cross-functional administrative functions critical to scaling a high-growth solar development platform.
This is a high-impact position for a hands-on leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and is motivated by building systems, teams, and culture that support aggressive growth. The Vice President of Human Resources will serve as a steward of the company's core values and play a central role in shaping how the organization grows.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a senior executive partner to the CEO and leadership team, aligning people, operations, and administrative strategy with company growth.
- Lead organizational design, workforce planning, and change management to support a rapidly expanding solar development platform.
- Oversee all Human Resources functions, including employee relations, compensation and benefits, performance management, compliance, and the full employee lifecycle.
- Lead end-to-end recruiting and talent acquisition strategy, including workforce planning, diverse pipeline development, hiring metrics, and compensation benchmarking.
- Champion culture-building initiatives rooted in mentorship, accountability, and high performance.
- Serve as executive sponsor for professional development and DE&I initiatives, ensuring meaningful investment and accountability.
- Oversee office operations, facilities, vendors, administrative systems, and company-wide events across all locations.
- Manage HR, recruiting, and office operations budgets with transparency and financial discipline.
- Represent the organization in executive forums and provide regular reporting to senior leadership and board-level stakeholders.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience in a high-growth or project-based environment.
- Strong command of multi-state employment law, HR compliance, and employee relations.
- Proven ability to build and scale people, recruiting, and operational infrastructure in fast-paced organizations.
- Experience leading executive-level recruiting and workforce planning initiatives.
- Demonstrated success partnering with CEOs, executive teams, and presenting to boards or senior leadership.
- Experience serving as executive sponsor for employee-led initiatives such as DE&I or professional development.
- Industry experience in renewable energy, infrastructure, real estate, or construction strongly preferred.
- SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification and experience with modern HRIS and ATS platforms a plus.
