Senior IP Litigation Counsel
Our Client is a Publicly-Traded Medical Device Company that is seeking an experienced IP Litigation Counsel to join its growing legal team. This role will be remote with periodic travel to the Northeast.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IP litigation within the medical device, technology, or orthopedic sectors and will be responsible for managing intellectual property litigation matters and supporting the protection of the company's IP portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage IP litigation matters, including patent disputes, trade secret claims, and related proceedings.
- Develop and execute litigation strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Collaborate with internal teams and outside counsel to ensure effective case management.
- Provide risk assessments and strategic advice on IP enforcement and defense.
- Support IP portfolio management and advise on potential litigation risks during product development.
Qualifications
- Education: J.D. from an accredited law school; admission to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- Experience: 4-10 years of relevant IP litigation experience in the Medical Device industry either at a law firm or in-house. Specifically, patent infringement matters.
- Strong understanding of patent law, litigation procedures, and regulatory considerations in healthcare.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment.
