This is a hybrid or fully remote flexible role with a base compensation range of $160,000-$250,000 dependent on background and experience. This role is bonus eligible.

A highly regarded law firm is seeking a litigation associate to join its growing Insurance Coverage and Complex Commercial Litigation practice.
This team advises insurers and corporate clients on high-stakes coverage issues while also handling sophisticated litigation involving commercial liability and excess insurance policies. Attorneys regularly work on novel legal questions arising from emerging risks, helping shape strategy in areas that are actively developing across the legal landscape.

Key Responsibilities
- Advise clients on coverage issues involving commercial liability and excess insurance policies
- Draft coverage analyses, legal memoranda, and opinion letters
- Conduct sophisticated legal research and statutory analysis
- Handle pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation filings
- Participate in depositions, mediations, hearings, and other litigation proceedings
- Communicate directly with clients regarding case strategy and risk assessment
- Manage matters and deadlines with increasing autonomy
Qualifications
- Active California Bar membership
- Experience in insurance coverage, commercial litigation, business litigation, or other complex civil litigation
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical abilities
- Excellent communication and client management skills
- Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines effectively
- Interest in developing expertise in insurance coverage and emerging-risk litigation
