Base Salary: $215,000 - $260,000 + Bonus + Comprehensive Benefits
A leading global financial intelligence and credit ratings organization is seeking a Project Finance / Private Credit Counsel to join its growing legal team. This is a unique opportunity for an attorney who enjoys working at the intersection of complex financing transactions, structured products, and private credit markets within a highly visible, business-facing role.
Responsibilities
- Advise on legal matters relating to project finance, infrastructure finance, private credit, and structured finance transactions.
- Support transaction execution teams by reviewing and analyzing financing documentation.
- Provide legal guidance on rating agency activities, regulatory developments, and transaction structures.
- Partner closely with senior business stakeholders on new products, initiatives, and strategic projects.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements and legal documentation.
- Coordinate with external counsel and internal compliance, risk, and regulatory teams as needed.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active U.S. bar membership.
- 5+ years of legal experience gained at a leading law firm, financial institution, ratings agency, or alternative credit platform.
- Strong background in project finance, infrastructure finance, leveraged finance, private credit, asset-backed lending, or related financing transactions.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
