Junior Labor & Employment Litigation Associate - Los Angeles

A nationally recognized labor & employment law firm is seeking a Junior Labor & Employment Litigation Associate (2-4 years) to join its growing Los Angeles office. This is an exceptional opportunity for a litigation associate looking to build a long-term career in one of the country's premier management-side employment practices.

What makes this opportunity particularly unique is that the firm is open to considering strong litigators who may not currently practice labor & employment law. Attorneys in other litigation-focused practices are encouraged to apply if they possess strong litigation fundamentals and an interest in transitioning into employment law.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent employers in labor & employment litigation matters throughout California.
  • Manage cases through all stages of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motions, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
  • Draft dispositive and non-dispositive motions, written discovery, and case strategy memoranda.
  • Take and defend depositions and work directly with clients on litigation strategy.
  • Support wage & hour class actions, PAGA representative actions, and single-plaintiff employment matters.
  • Collaborate closely with experienced labor & employment attorneys in a highly specialized practice.

Key Qualifications

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Active California Bar membership.
  • 2-4 years of litigation experience.
  • Employment litigation experience is preferred but not required.
  • Strong legal writing, research, analytical, and advocacy skills.
  • Experience handling multiple litigation matters in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary ranging from $195,000-$230,000, depending on experience.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • 401(k), profit-sharing, paid parental leave, and generous PTO.
  • Life insurance, disability coverage, wellness resources, and additional voluntary benefits.
  • Strong mentorship and training within a nationally recognized labor & employment platform.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a junior litigator seeking to break into labor & employment law while receiving sophisticated training, meaningful responsibility, and long-term career development.
