Licensing Manager
Our client, a mission-driven healthcare organization, is seeking an experienced Licensing Manager to establish and lead its licensing function. This is a newly created role reporting directly to the General Counsel and will play a key role in ensuring timely and compliant licensing across a large and growing network of clinical sites. This is a hybrid role in the Los Angeles area.
Responsibilities
- Build and oversee the organization's first centralized licensing department
- Lead all aspects of state and federal licensing for new and existing facilities
- Manage the preparation, submission, and tracking of applications and renewals for healthcare licenses and permits
- Serve as a subject matter expert on licensing requirements across multiple regulatory agencies (e.g., CDPH, HCPS)
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with licensing authorities; communicate directly with agency personnel to troubleshoot and navigate regulatory issues
- Train and support team members and cross-functional partners on licensing protocols and best practices
Qualifications
- Strong experience managing healthcare licensing processes
- Deep understanding of CDPH and other relevant agency requirements
- Demonstrated success submitting and tracking complex licensing applications
- Strong communication skills and ability to interface with government agencies effectively
- Highly organized, solutions-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
