About the Role
This role offers the opportunity to work on complex and often high-profile matrimonial and family law matters, including divorce, custody, equitable distribution, and support disputes. Associates are given meaningful responsibility and client exposure early on.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle all phases of matrimonial and family law matters
- Draft pleadings, motions, and agreements (including prenuptial and post-nuptial agreements)
- Manage discovery and prepare financial analyses
- Take and defend depositions
- Appear in court and participate in hearings and conferences
- Maintain direct client contact and manage sensitive matters with discretion
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Admitted and in good standing in New York
- 2-6+ years of family law/matrimonial experience
