Director of Regulatory Rates
We are currently partnered with a utility company based out of Florida who is looking to bring on an addition to their regulatory teams. This energy provider is committed to delivering safe, reliable, and sustainable power that supports communities and drives innovation. With a strong emphasis on integrity, safety, and customer trust, the organization is seeking a regulatory professional to help shape its strategic direction in a dynamic energy landscape. The Director of Regulatory Rates will be responsible for managing regulatory filings, rate proceedings, and strategic initiatives. This individual will play a key role in developing regulatory strategies, preparing formal testimony, and leading a team of analysts. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in utility regulation and a collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset.
Responsibilities
- Leads the preparation and execution of regulatory filings, including rate cases and strategic regulatory initiatives.
- Develops and presents formal written testimony and data analyses to federal and state regulatory bodies.
- Supervises and mentors a team of Regulatory Analysts, fostering professional development and collaboration.
- Coordinates with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance and support innovation.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; an advanced degree is a plus.
- 7-10 years of experience in utility regulation, financial analysis, or rate design.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex regulatory concepts clearly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with tools such as Epicor, FRx, and Business Objects.
