A leading international law firm is seeking a talented associate with 2-5 years' PQE to join its highly regarded Derivatives & Structured Products team in London.

About the Role

You'll advise major financial institutions, investment banks, asset managers, corporates, and fintech clients on the full spectrum of derivatives and trading matters. The team handles cutting‑edge work across OTC derivatives, cleared derivatives, structured products, and regulatory risk.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate derivatives documentation (including ISDA, GMRA, GMSLA, and bespoke trading agreements)
  • Advise on OTC, exchange‑traded, credit, equity, FX, commodities, rates, and cross‑asset derivatives
  • Support transactions involving structured products, structured financings, and regulatory-driven reforms
  • Navigate UK and EU regulatory regimes including EMIR, MiFID II, MAR, and related risk frameworks
  • Work closely with market-leading partners and collaborate on complex cross-border matters

Candidate Profile

  • Qualified solicitor in England & Wales (or equivalent common-law jurisdiction)
  • 2-5 PQE in derivatives, structured products, structured finance, or financial regulatory
  • Strong grounding in ISDA-based documentation and derivatives markets
  • Excellent technical skills with strong commercial instincts
  • Confident communicator with the ability to build strong client relationships
