The Opportunity
Our client is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to join their Legal and Risk Department. This role partners closely with project teams and business leaders across the full project lifecycle, from pursuit and contract negotiation through project closeout. The position offers the opportunity to provide strategic legal guidance on complex construction and commercial matters while contributing to contract standardization, dispute prevention, and process improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Partner with project teams and business stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, from pursuit through closeout.
* Negotiate and draft complex construction and commercial agreements, including prime contracts, subcontracts, and professional services agreements.
* Provide legal guidance to leadership and project teams on contract, regulatory, and risk-related matters.
* Proactively identify and help resolve potential disputes in alignment with business objectives.
* Support contract standardization, CLM administration, and internal legal training initiatives.
Qualifications
* 5-8 years of experience in a law firm or in-house legal role.
* Construction law experience required; energy or power sector experience preferred.
* Experience negotiating complex construction contracts and working with CLM platforms.
* Strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
