Auto Defense Litigation Attorney
A respected national law firm is seeking an Auto Defense Litigation Attorney to join its growing Philadelphia office. This position is ideal for an attorney with experience handling personal injury, general liability, transportation, and catastrophic injury defense matters who is looking for significant client interaction, hands-on litigation experience, and a clear path for professional growth.
Attorneys in this role will manage cases from inception through resolution, work directly with a sophisticated national client, and take an active role in developing case strategy. The firm offers a collaborative environment where attorneys are entrusted with meaningful responsibility and have the opportunity to gain substantial deposition, motion practice, mediation, and courtroom experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse caseload of defense litigation matters from initial investigation through resolution
- Conduct depositions, attend hearings, mediations, and court appearances
- Draft and argue motions, prepare pleadings, and develop litigation strategy
- Collaborate closely with partners and colleagues on complex legal matters
- Maintain regular communication with clients and provide strategic case updates
- Participate in trial preparation and assist with all phases of litigation
Qualifications
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
- Active Pennsylvania bar admission
- 3 to 8 years of defense litigation experience
- Prior experience handling personal injury, general liability, transportation, or catastrophic injury matters preferred
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and client relationship management abilities
- Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment
- Experience managing client-facing responsibilities and complex litigation matters is a plus
