Job Overview
We have partnered with a rapidly-growing Insurance Company that is looking to expand its legal team with an experienced Regulatory Attorney. In this role, you will report to the General Counsel and work cross-functionally with business and compliance members to ensure state and federal insurance laws and regulations are upheld, as well as contribute to contract review and drafting, when necessary. This position offers a competitive base salary and hybrid flexibility, and is a great opportunity to lead the company's foreseeable growth.
Responsibilities
- Deliver expert legal insights on regulations and related matters pertaining to personal insurance lines
- Manage the review and approval process for contracts and legal documents
- Advise on state-level changes to insurance forms, rates, and guidelines
- Build and maintain a comprehensive regulatory database relevant to business lines
- Partner with Compliance to maintain proper licensing for entities, employees, and affiliates
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) and active bar membership (Any State)
- Proven experience in insurance law or regulatory compliance
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Contract review/drafting experience is preferred, not required
