Location: Uniondale, Long Island, NY (5 days/week, on-site)
Compensation: $130,000 base
We are hiring a Legal Counsel to serve as the sole U.S. legal representative for a growing, international business. Based full-time in Uniondale, this role reports directly to the Deputy Legal Director (UK-based) and works closely with senior leadership, including participation in board meetings.
This is a high-visibility position for a commercially focused attorney who is comfortable operating independently, engaging with senior stakeholders, and supporting a complex, fast-moving business.
Responsibilities
- Act as primary legal advisor for U.S. operations
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts and transactional matters
- Support sales teams and brokers on legal and commercial issues
- Advise senior leadership and present at board-level meetings
- Partner closely with the UK legal team
Requirements
- Commercial contracts or transactional legal background
- Experience in an in-house, senior, or standalone counsel role preferred
- Confident, direct, and personable communication style
- Comfortable onboarding quickly into a complex business
- Strong judgment, pragmatic approach, and cultural alignment
