Employment Litigation Attorney (3-5 Years) - NJ
My Client, one of the top AmLaw 100 Ranked Firms, is looking to expand their office in NJ! They are seeking a talented Employment Litigation Attorney with 3-5 years of experience to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to take on meaningful responsibility, work directly with Fortune 100 clients, and advance professionally within a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Handle all phases of employment litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Manage written discovery, document review, and e‑discovery processes
- Take and defend depositions of parties, fact witnesses, and experts
- Represent clients in state and federal court, as well as before administrative agencies
- Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda, case evaluations, and litigation strategies
- Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, and internal team members
- Assist with matters involving labor law, collective bargaining issues, and union‑related disputes (if applicable)
- Support senior attorneys and collaborate on complex matters as needed
- Manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining high‑quality work
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of employment litigation experience
- Strong academic credentials and excellent writing/advocacy skills
- Ability to manage cases in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision
- Active license to practice law in New Jersey is required
- Additional admissions (e.g., New York, federal courts) are a plus
- Familiarity with labor law is beneficial but not mandatory
Compensation & Benefits
In accordance with New Jersey regulations, the annual salary range is $195,000 to $220,000, depending on experience and educational background. This position also includes eligibility for performance‑based bonuses.
