Labor & Employment Attorney
Summary:
This is a full-time, remote position for an experienced attorney specializing in Employment Practices Liability Insurance (EPLI). You'll be part of a nationally recognized team that exclusively represents management in employment litigation. The role involves handling EPLI cases from start to finish, collaborating with top-tier clients, and providing strategic legal counsel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Litigation Defense: Manage claims involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage and hour disputes, and breach of restrictive covenants.
- Agency Proceedings: Represent clients before the EEOC, state human rights commissions, and local labor boards, including mediation and negotiation.
- Insurance Collaboration: Work closely with EPLI carriers and handle related policies such as D&O, E&O, and professional liability.
- Client Advisory: Provide proactive legal guidance on employment law compliance, internal investigations, hiring/termination practices, and risk mitigation.
- Thought Leadership: Contribute to legal writing, training, and firm-wide initiatives focused on innovation and inclusion.
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in employment litigation and EPLI matters.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Licensed to practice law in one of the following states:
- Georgia, Illinois, Colorado, California, Missouri, or Washington.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating with a national team.
