We are working with a organization based in Fort Laurderdale, FL to expand their legal team. Areas of this company include Autism Care, substance abuse disorder, and medical billing. I am seeking a skilled Labor and Employment Attorney to join our legal team and support our growing organization.

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal counsel on labor and employment matters, including employee relations, workplace policies, compliance with federal and state employment laws, and dispute resolution.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate employment contracts, non-compete agreements, and other employment-related documents.
  • Represent the company in labor and employment litigation, administrative proceedings, and arbitrations.
  • Conduct internal investigations related to employee complaints, discrimination claims, and other workplace issues.
  • Advise on matters related to employee benefits, wage and hour laws, and workplace safety regulations.
  • Develop and implement training programs for management and staff on employment law compliance and best practices.
  • Collaborate with HR and other departments to ensure alignment with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Stay current on changes in labor and employment laws and regulations, and provide proactive guidance to mitigate legal risks.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in labor and employment law, preferably within the healthcare industry.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and Title VII.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
