ISDA Negotiator

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate ISDA Master Agreements, Credit Support Annexes (CSAs), and related documentation (e.g., GMRA, GMSLA, FX PB agreements).
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders including Legal, Credit, Risk, Operations, and Front Office to ensure alignment on documentation terms.
  • Provide legal and regulatory guidance on derivatives documentation, including netting, collateral, and enforceability issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of negotiation status and executed agreements in internal systems.
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments affecting derivatives documentation and assist in implementing necessary changes.
  • Support documentation projects and initiatives, including regulatory remediation and digitization efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Law degree with admission to practice in a common law or civil law jurisdiction (e.g., Hong Kong, UK, US, Australia).
  • 4-7 years of experience in ISDA documentation negotiation, preferably within an investment bank or international law firm.
  • Strong understanding of derivatives markets, legal risk, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., EMIR, Dodd-Frank, HKMA).
  • Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluency in English is required; Mandarin or Cantonese is a plus.
