In-House Corporate Counsel - Wellness & Retail
A fast‑growing consumer products / retail organization is seeking a mid‑level Corporate Counsel to support a broad range of commercial and corporate legal matters. This role has a strong focus on technology/SaaS agreements, data privacy compliance, and cross‑functional commercial contracting.
This is an excellent opportunity for a transactional attorney who enjoys working in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment and partnering directly with business teams across the company. This is a full‑time, in‑office position based in Los Angeles.
What You'll Do:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial agreements
- Support technology, SaaS, AI‑related, and data‑focused contract negotiations
- Manage contract lifecycle processes and coordinate with legal operations
- Advise on data privacy, consumer protection, and digital compliance matters
- Support international operations and cross‑border vendor relationships
- Coordinate with outside counsel on jurisdiction‑specific issues
- Develop, update, and maintain internal policies and procedures
- Partner closely with engineering, digital, supply chain, and commercial teams
What We're Looking For:
- Active admission to the California bar
- 5-7 years of transactional experience (Big Law and/or in‑house) - must have
- J.D. from a top‑tier law school with strong academic performance
- Strong experience negotiating commercial and technology agreements (SaaS required)
- Working knowledge of data privacy frameworks and digital compliance
- Excellent communication, organizational, and drafting skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight timelines with minimal supervision
- Familiarity with AI, software, or digital product legal considerations (preferred)
- Exposure to international contracting or cross‑border commercial matters (preferred)
Compensation & Benefits:
$175,000 - $225,000 base salary, dependent upon on experience and location, plus eligibility for bonuses and long‑term incentives. Competitive benefits package includes 401(k), medical/dental/vision coverage, product discounts, and access to onsite wellness perks.
