We are working with a leading renewable energy company to recruit for a Head of Legal to oversee the APAC and ANZ region. This is a strategic leadership role for a seasoned legal professional who is passionate about driving the energy transition and supporting sustainable infrastructure development across the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the legal function across APAC, providing strategic legal advice to senior management and business units.
  • Support project development and execution, including land acquisition, permitting, construction, and operations.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts including EPC, O&M, PPA, and joint venture agreements.
  • Monitor and advise on regulatory developments in energy, environmental, and corporate law across key APAC jurisdictions.
  • Manage external counsel relationships and legal budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate governance standards and internal policies.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, development, and operations teams to enable business growth.

Ideal Candidate:

  • 10+ years of post-qualification experience, with significant exposure to renewable energy or infrastructure projects.
  • Qualified lawyer in a common law jurisdiction
  • Strong understanding of energy regulations, project finance, and commercial contracting.
  • Proven leadership experience and ability to operate in a regional role.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
