Position Overview

My client is seeking a dynamic and strategic Head of Business Development to lead their global growth initiatives. This role is pivotal in identifying new market opportunities, forging strategic partnerships, and driving revenue across our diverse engineering and manufacturing verticals. The ideal candidate is a visionary leader with a strong technical background and a proven track record in B2B business development within engineering, manufacturing, or industrial sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with company goals.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in target sectors: structural engineering, automotive, oil & gas, and building innovation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and clients globally.
  • Lead contract negotiations, proposals, and deal structuring.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and marketing teams to align offerings with market demand.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform strategic decisions.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.
  • Build and lead a high-performing business development team as the company scales.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field. JD not required, but preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, preferably in manufacturing, engineering, or industrial design sectors.
  • Strong understanding of structural systems, automotive technologies, oil & gas machinery, and/or building innovation.
  • Proven success in developing and closing high-value B2B deals.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage cross-functional teams.
