As a key member of the firm's Regulatory & Compliance department, you will be involved in a wide range of complex and impactful legal work, including:
âš¡ Advising clients on regulatory compliance and representing them in litigation before FERC
âš¡ Navigating market-based and cost-of-service rate regulation frameworks
âš¡ Addressing transmission, interconnection, and Regional Transmission Organization (RTO) issues
âš¡ Supporting energy-related mergers and acquisitions, as well as project development initiatives
This role is ideal for attorneys who thrive in a fast-paced, intellectually rigorous environment and are eager to deepen their expertise in federal electric regulation.
What We're Looking For:
✅ 2-4+ years of experience practicing in the field of federal electric regulation
✅ Familiarity with key regulatory provisions such as FPA Section 203, market-based rate filings, cost-of-service ratemaking, and organized wholesale energy markets
✅ Exceptional academic credentials and strong legal writing and analytical skills
✅ Active membership in the DC Bar or eligibility to waive in
✅ Experience with FERC's e-filing systems and regulatory processes is a strong plus
