Director, Compliance Governance & Advisory
A financial services organization is seeking an experienced compliance professional to provide advisory support and governance oversight across multiple business lines. This role will partner closely with Compliance, Risk, Legal, Audit, and business stakeholders to strengthen compliance programs, manage regulatory risk, and drive governance initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted compliance advisor to business leaders and key stakeholders.
- Provide oversight of compliance programs, including complaints management, fair lending, UDAAP, privacy, and regulatory initiatives.
- Support compliance risk assessments, issue management, and governance reporting.
- Lead or support regulatory change management efforts and compliance program enhancements.
- Partner with business lines to identify emerging risks and implement effective compliance solutions.
- Contribute to monitoring and testing governance, committee reporting, and enterprise compliance initiatives.
- Support compliance technology and GRC-related initiatives.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of compliance experience within banking or financial services.
- Experience in compliance governance, advisory, regulatory affairs, or compliance program management.
- Strong knowledge of consumer compliance regulations, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
- Experience with complaints management, fair lending, UDAAP, monitoring & testing, and regulatory change management.
- Ability to build strong relationships across business lines and executive stakeholders.
- Experience with GRC platforms is a plus.

- Large bank or complex financial institution experience.
- Broad compliance background with exposure to multiple compliance disciplines rather than a highly siloed function.
