Corporate Counsel - Manufacturing

Our client is a global conglomerate company out of Florida looking to identify it's first US-based Corporate Counsel to join their global legal team. This role will focus on a wide variety, including: commercial contracts, litigation, compliance, and managing cross-functional relationships.


Key Responsibilities

Commercial Contracts

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including supply, distribution, manufacturing, and service contracts.
  • Provide legal support for procurement, operations, and supply chain teams.
  • Advise on contract risks, mitigation strategies, and compliance with internal policies and applicable laws.

Litigation Management

  • Manage and oversee litigation, arbitration, and pre-litigation disputes globally.
  • Coordinate with external counsel and internal stakeholders to develop litigation strategies.
  • Monitor legal trends and risks that may impact the company's operations.

Import/Export Compliance

  • Advise on global trade compliance, including customs regulations, export controls, and sanctions.
  • Support internal audits and investigations related to trade compliance.
  • Develop and implement training and policies to ensure adherence to international trade laws.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent legal degree from an accredited institution.
  • Licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction or equivalent international qualification.
  • 6+ years of relevant legal experience, preferably with in-house experience with a manufacturing company.
