I'm partnered with a large, globally recognized organization operating in the technology space, supporting enterprise clients across a range of industries. The company offers a structured, fast-paced environment where the legal team plays an integral role in supporting business operations and managing risk at scale.

The role sits within a collaborative legal group that works closely with Human Resources and business leadership on a wide range of employment matters. This position provides strong visibility across the organization and requires an in-office presence to support real-time engagement with internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day advice and counseling on a wide range of U.S. employment law matters, supporting HR and business stakeholders
  • Partner closely with HR to manage employee relations issues, including investigations, grievances, and disciplinary matters
  • Draft, review, and update separation agreements, releases, and other employment-related documentation
  • Advise on employee terminations and disciplinary actions, ensuring legal compliance and risk mitigation
  • Respond to administrative agency matters, including EEOC charges, Department of Labor inquiries, and other regulatory investigations
  • Assist with employment-related litigation matters, including coordinating strategy and managing outside counsel
  • Handle subpoenas and document requests, ensuring timely and accurate responses
  • Develop and enhance employment-related policies, trainings, and internal processes to support compliance and consistency
  • Maintain and organize employment law-related records, files, and tracking systems
  • Provide guidance to internal legal team members and contribute to the development of overall employment law strategy

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor and active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
  • 8+ years of experience focused on employment law, including litigation and advisory work
  • Prior in-house experience or strong client-facing counseling experience preferred
  • Demonstrated experience handling employee relations issues, investigations, and agency matters
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess risk and deliver practical, business-oriented guidance
  • Experience managing outside counsel and supporting litigation strategy
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while managing competing priorities
  • Strong communication skills and ability to partner effectively with non-legal stakeholders
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work cross-functionally with HR and internal teams
  • Willingness to work in an in-office environment and engage closely with stakeholders
