Our Client is a rapidly expanding global data center group operating in 20+ countries, supporting major cloud, enterprise, and hyperscale customers. With continued international growth and new facilities launching, the company is strengthening its legal team to support complex commercial and infrastructure-driven operations.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Counsel with data center industry experience to join the global legal function. This fully remote role will support high-value commercial transactions across numerous regions, partnering with teams across Legal, Sales, Commercial, Procurement, and Operations.
The successful candidate will have deep experience advising on commercial agreements specifically within the data center, colocation, cloud infrastructure, or critical facilities environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts, including:
- colocation and hosting agreements
- MSAs and SLAs
- NDAs and procurement/vendor agreements
- expansion, renewal, and cross-border commercial documentation
- Provide strategic legal advice for global commercial projects and customer transactions across 20+ jurisdictions.
- Partner with Sales, Finance, Engineering, and Operations to align legal risk with commercial objectives.
- Develop and maintain contract templates, negotiation playbooks, and legal policies.
- Oversee contract lifecycle management processes and support operational improvements.
- Offer practical, solution-oriented legal guidance in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Ensure compliance with data center-specific regulatory, operational, and risk frameworks.
Requirements
- Required: Direct experience within the data center, colocation, cloud, or critical infrastructure industry.
- Qualified lawyer with strong commercial contracting expertise.
- Experience supporting international commercial matters in scaling global businesses.
- Skilled negotiator with strong commercial acumen.
