As they continue to grow and evolve, they are expanding their in-house legal team and seeking a motivated Staff Attorney to join them in supporting their mission and operations.
Position Overview
As a Staff Attorney, you will play a key role in providing legal counsel across a broad range of matters affecting the company. This position is ideal for a dynamic legal professional with a solid foundation in general litigation and a passion for public service and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and representation in general litigation matters.
- Support internal teams with legal guidance on regulatory compliance, contracts, and risk management.
- Assist with claims handling and tort-related issues.
- Advise on matters involving the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of legal documents and agreements.
- Collaborate with external counsel and regulatory agencies as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice law in Tennessee or eligible for admission.
- Minimum of 1 year of legal experience, preferably in litigation.
- Familiarity or experience with NEPA, FOIA, tort law, or claims management is a strong plus.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative legal team.
