Senior Litigation Associate
We are working with a leading US law firm in London that is looking to add an experienced Senior Associate or Counsel to its growing disputes practice.
The team handles complex, high-value disputes across financial litigation, civil fraud, cyber and privacy matters, often with an international dimension. Having recently strengthened the team at junior and mid-level, the focus is now on bringing in someone more experienced who can take meaningful responsibility for running matters and working directly with a number of partners across the practice.
The role
- Work across complex financial and commercial disputes, civil fraud, cyber and privacy-related litigation
- Take a lead role in managing matters and running significant elements of cases
- Work closely with a broad group of partners within a leanly staffed disputes team
- Supervise and support more junior associates
- Gain significant client exposure and responsibility
- Join a London team of approximately 7 partners and 9 associates/counsel
- Clear scope for progression towards partnership for the right individual
The ideal candidate
- Approximately 6-8+ PQE, although candidates with slightly more experience can be considered at Counsel level
- Strong contentious experience from a leading international or US law firm
- Experience managing substantial matters with a high degree of independence
- Comfortable operating within lean teams where associates have genuine responsibility
- International or cross-border disputes experience would be particularly valuable
This would particularly suit someone at a larger international or US firm who wants to retain sophisticated, high-value work while gaining greater ownership of cases and a more visible route towards partnership.
